AfterSchool & Summer ArtsCamp Volunteer Opportunities!
High school students can fulfill their service learning hour requirements all through the year at The ArtsCenter!
Each spring we accept applications for counselors for our Summer ArtsCamp program. Counselors are a vital part of keeping ArtsCamp FUN! All counselor positions are filled by volunteers. To be a counselor you must be entering 9th grade in the fall after camp, or older. Thanks in advance for your interest in volunteering with us! For questions about the counselor program contact Louise Tremblay, Summer Camps Director, at (919) 929-2787, ext. 204 or email Camp(at) ArtsCenterLive.org. You may download a Summer ArtsCamp counselor application here during the application period. Deadline for applying is Friday, May 3rd.
And during the school year, The ArtsCenter's AfterSchool Arts Immersion program has volunteer opportunities for responsible, fun-loving teens who enjoy kids and the arts! Responsibilities include assisting teachers with art projects, leading games and break activities, facilitating snack and homework time, and most importantly, making sure that each child feels safe and is having a great time! For more information contact Shirlette Ammons, Children's On-Site Manager, at (919) 929-2787, ext. 209 or afterschool@artscenterlive.org
Development and Special Events
Melissa Clark
I started out at The ArtsCenter as an intern working in the development department. Right now, though, my main project is helping plan an upcoming event celebrating The ArtsCenter. I thoroughly enjoy volunteering at The ArtsCenter. It has been a great learning experience and is always so much fun!
