Programs for Youth and Families
YOUTH ARTS A LA CARTE
We're excited to place youth arts classes that happen during after school hours under one umbrella. The new ARTS A LA CARTE program is composed of youth arts classes in a variety of disciplines (drawing, cartooning, painting, sewing, and more) and theatre classes from our Youth Performing Arts Conservatory. Transportation is also available from select elementary schools on class days. To register for ARTS A LA CARTE classes, simply click on the link below to view options by grade level. IF YOU NEED TRANSPORTATION, PLEASE DOWNLOAD A REGISTRATION FORM BY CLICKING HERE, COMPLETING IT, AND RETURNING IT TO THE ARTSCENTER via email, fax, mail, or by submitting it at The ArtsCenter Box Office. Online registration is best utilized by families who DO NOT need transportation.

ArtSchool (ART A LA CARTE)
ArtSchool at The ArtsCenter is Orange County's most comprehensive non-profit resource for continuing education in the arts on a non-degree, community basis. Opportunities abound for students of all ages - toddlers to seniors - to try their hand at a variety of artistic media or to increase their skills in intermediate/advanced classes. ArtSchool serves as a resource for many of the area's professional artists, who experience teaching as a way of sharing their expertise, while keeping their own work continually challenged. Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer sessions are scheduled annually.
ArtSchool at The ArtsCenter receives support from the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency funded by the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts; and by the Orange County Arts Commission, with funds from the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency.
Youth Performing Arts Conservatory (ART A LA CARTE)
The Youth Performing Arts Conservatory is designed to offer students a well-rounded performing arts education. Students explore a huge range of performance styles and techniques - everything from acting to dance, chorus, improvisation, stage combat, radio drama, on-camera acting and more! Classes use games, exercises, improvisation, monologues, scenes and short plays to give students the chance to develop confidence, collaboration, and performance skills. Designed for young people with a genuine enthusiasm for performing, YPAC classes encourage students to build self-confidence, expand and develop communication skills, stimulate their imagination and work as an ensemble.
AfterSchool (Full and Part-Time options!)
AfterSchool Arts Immersion is just that – an in-depth exploration of a variety of arts. We operate on the CHCCS schedule and run from 2:30-6pm Monday-Friday, except on holidays, school breaks and snow days. We are now pleased to offer Part-Time AfterSchool Arts Immersion options! Summer ArtsCamp
Your child’s summer will be fun-filled with any of our camps. Mix and match ArtsFocus and KidsCamps to tailor your child’s arts experience. We also offer Little Campers to introduce younger children to summer camp.
REFUND POLICIES:
A LA CARTE REFUNDS:
All refund requests must be made in writing. You may email a refund request to afterschool@artscenterlive.org.
The ArtsCenter will retain a $10 processing fee on all registrations. When the course is held as scheduled, the refund policy is as follows:
* Full tuition refund (less $10 processing fee) up to one week prior to the first class meeting.
* 50% tuition refund (less $10 processing fee) during the week prior to the day of the first class meeting.
*The etix fee for registering online is non-refundable.
* SORRY, NO TUITION REFUNDS ONCE THE COURSE HAS STARTED.
AFTERSCHOOL ARTS IMMERSION (AAI) REFUNDS:
AAI requires a deposit of first and last month's tuition for enrollment. A 30 day written notice is required for withdrawal. The ArtsCenter will retain a $10 processing fee on all registrations.
