MiniCamps

MiniCamp Information

MiniCamps are day-long immersions in the arts offered on CHCCS Teacher Workdays. Each MiniCamp experience consists of a morning and afternoon arts residency taught by a professional teaching artist.  Choose from half day and full day options.   • January 21, 2013 (MLK Peacemaking MiniCamp)

  • SPRING BREAK MINICAMP, April 1-4. REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! 
    Register for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 days. For grades k-5:

    Spring Break MiniCamp will be held during CCHCS Spring Break, APRIL 1-4, 2013. This popular arts camp allows you to choose from full and half-day options. The camp includes an a.m. hand-building residency where young artists create sculptures from clay and mixed media objects. The afternoon residency will feature screen-printing where young artists create their very own t-shirts, pillowcases and more!

  • SPRING BREAK THEATRE CAMP, April 1-5. REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
    Must register for the entire week.  half & full day options. For grades 4-12:

    During our Spring Break Theatre Camp young actors will stage an adaptation of a play selected by the instructors. The morning session will be devoted to casting and rehearsals; the afternoon session is devoted to costuming and set design. Young actors may register for either the morning or afternoon sessions or the entire day! The week will conclude with a Friday afternoon performance!

A typical schedule for MiniCamp is as follows:

  • 8:15-8:30 a.m. Arrival
  • 8:30-11:30 a.m. Work w/ Teaching Artist
  • 11:30-12:30 Lunch
  • 12:30-1:30- Supervised recreation activities (movie, free time, art time, outdoor playtime
  • 1:30-4:30 p.m. Work w/ Teaching Artist
  • 5:00-5:30 p.m. Pick-Up

Registration is complete upon full payment and return of the registration form. We will contact you via email to confirm your registration, if the Mini-Camp is full, or if there are any problems with your registration.
