Mark Twain Now presented by the Playwrights Roundtable

Saturday, January 28, 2012
8:00 pm

Imagine what Mark Twain would have to say about things today.  Politics, religion, race, and the Gilded Age past and present, provide just some of the fodder for this original one-man show. The evening opens with a reading from Letters from the Earth, Twain's final and most controversial book. It concludes with Newell’s imagining of Tom and Huck as newly elected members of Congress just as Washington is contemplating the invasion of Iraq. Written and performed by Paul Newell.
