Animalia by Hobey Ford's Golden Rod Puppets

Animals come to life in this unique performance. Two-time winner of puppetry’s highest honor, the UNIMA Citation of Excellence, and a three-time recipient of Jim Henson Foundation grants, Hobey Ford is a skilled and respected artist whose work is considered innovative in the field. Based in NC, Ford has travelled all over the USA sharing his art with thousands of children. Ford’s performances feature a variety of puppetry from shadow and rod puppets to his own creation of “foamies.” His program Animalia realistically portrays the movement of animals, showcasing Ford’s foam puppets, and is filled with vignettes from the world around us.  

This show will last approximately 45-50 minutes and is suggested for PreK-elementary.
